I will miss you!

LORTON Thomas Neil Thomas Neil Lorton, 48, of Point Place, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 10, 2011, in his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 18, 1963, to the late Robert and Mickey (Lazenby) Lorton. Tom worked 14 years at Textileleather. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and target shooting. Tom was an avid propionate for the second amendment. He cherished collecting and finding Indian artifacts; Tom would travel to the islands in search of these artifacts to add to his expansive collection. He knew everything you ever wanted to know about nature; he taught his girls all he knew and his knowledge was vast and extensive. Tom would take his girls fishing from his favorite spot on the "flat rock" in the front yard. They would marvel at how he could run over the rocks and never fall or trip. If you needed help he would be there without question and never hesitated to give you anything he had. Surviving Tom is his wife of 17 years, Maryann (Jacobs); daughters, Eryn and Anna Lorton; brother, Ray (Ann) Lorton; sister, Laurie (Dan) Bailey, with many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on July 16, 2011, 10 am until 1 pm at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., (419.726.1583). Memorial Service will follow beginning at 1pm in the funeral home with Fr. Tony Borgia officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a donation in Tom's memory are asked to consider Parish Federal Credit Union, 5138 Summit Street, Toledo, OH 43611 for Eryn and Anna Lorton.
