Jeremy and I went on our first Cabrewing trip in Mio, MI this weekend. It was fun but I was pissed off most of the weekend. My story...
We got there on Thursday night, drank some beer and headed to bed. Bright and early Friday morning we went on the first tubing trip of the weekend. Four hours into the trip on the Au Sable River the conversation went like this...
So-called friends: "Christina, you have the good camera pass it over."
(I bought a water proof digital camera for my Soak City trip and for my first canoe trip earlier in July. See picture.)
Me (30 minutes later): Who has my camera? Where is my camera?!
Everyone just stared at me... passing the blame around to everyone. "I passed it to her. I passed it to him. I passed it to her. I passed it to you."
WHO THE HELL DROPPED MY CAMERA IN THE RIVER AND IS NOT OWNING UP TO IT?!!
I. AM. PISSED.
I immediatly get pissed and everyone is like "it's around here somewhere. It's probably in a cooler." I shut down and didn't talk to anyone for the rest of the day. Instead I cried and went to bed at like 8pm.
No one said A WORD to me the rest of the weekend. No apologies. Nothing.
I am now out a $150.00 camera and not one of the 19 people that was on that trip gave me a penny.
So if you feel sorry for me and want to donate a dollar to my "Someone dropped my camera in the Au Sable River and didn't Own Up Fund" ... donate to the right. I will be saving money and hopefully soon, I will get a new camera. (I charged the last one and can't do that again.)
